AM- 3 easy.  My left calf has been bugging me, so I need to take care of it really well these next couple of days.  Didn't get to bed early enough, so I will fix that too.

PM- Semi-Race thing.  I don't know this race I was just tired from going so hard yesterdays workout and mentally I was tired from that and not enough sleep and not use to going to learn all day!  Anyways, the first 1200m lap (big loop) I just kinda stayed a couple feet behind michael and braiden race with me.  Honestly, before the race and wanted to stick with mike the whole race, but today (mentally) I was just soo tired.  I kinda just stayed in homeostasis (my comfort zone) and refuse to push myself.  It literally felt like I was on a tempo run the whole time.  The second lap I just let michael go really....I just didn't want to push it like I said...everytime I though "let's at least try to catch up!" I'd just stick to the same. old. pace.  The weird thing was at some point on the second lap on the grass I began making excuses to slow down and I started to breath hard....then I just told myself "shut up!  You are not going to feel great while racing....DEAL WITH IT!"  and instantly my breathing was normal...as if I wasn't even racing!  Shows how much faster I could have gone!  I was with braden that lap until we hit the dirt then I was like heck I'm not gonna let it come down to an 800m showdown!  I can gap him now and not have to worry about killing myself (though I should do that anyways)!  So, I just finished at an alright pace (the same I'd been going the whole time) and averaged 5:40 pace (a lot slower than I can go).

Lesson of the Race:  Don't give yourself excuses, because it will be harder physically...as the good ol' cliche Nike saying goes "just do it."  don't overthink....just do it.  Also, push yourself constantly...it's not about how fast you can run 5k comfortably but how fast you can run 5k without dying.
